Recently, pictures of a child using a portable toilet in the middle of a restaurant in Taiwan while her family and other diners watched went viral on Facebook

According to United Daily News (UDS), a customer was shocked at the parents' decision to allow their daughter to use their portable potty in the middle of the small restaurant.

Once she finished going 'number two', the mother is seen pulling the child's pants up.

The shocked customer took to their Facebook page and posted their opinions as well as the pictures they had taken

The caption read, "Travelling during Chinese New Year with young children can be pretty inconvenient," reported UDS.

However, the customer pointed out that the toilet was just a few steps away from where the family was, and that their actions were unfair to the other customers.

"Why did you take the potty out and let the child squat right next to the other diners? You may have finished your meal, but don't others need to eat?" they questioned.

The family has since recieved backlash in the comment section of the post from Taiwanese citizens

According to Must Share News, the incident has been deemed "unacceptable", with some commenting that the girl's mother is "hopeless" and "thick skinned".

The family were also called out for needlessly exposing their daughter in a public area.

Yet, others noted that this wasn’t the first time parents have taken to engaging in similar unhygienic activities in Taiwan.

"I saw someone changing a child's diaper directly at the dining table in a restaurant and the smell of faeces filled the air," one user shared.
