A 12-year-old girl from Ampang has been missing since 7am this morning, 15 September, and her family is urging the public to help them find her

According to Oriental Daily, the missing child, Chen Xiyan (陈惜妍) was last seen in her home in Bukit Permai.

Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) councillor Chua Yew Choong accompanied the girl's mother to release the information about her missing daughter on a Facebook live broadcast at noon today.

According to the girl's mother, she last saw Chen waking up this morning to get ready for school

She usually changes into her school uniform on her own before getting sent to school by her father.

Both parents were kept occupied by their youngest daughter when they called Chen just before leaving the house. However, they realised she was no longer at home.

"Her school shoes, sneakers, slippers and all other shoes are still at home, so she may have gone out without shoes," said the mother.

She added that her daughter did not change into her school uniform, and believes that she was still wearing a white T-shirt and shorts when she left home.
