Form 6 Student Dies After Collapsing At School While Queuing For Co-Curricular Activity

A Form 6 student has died after collapsing while queuing outside a classroom corridor at school
According to Harian Metro, Acting Melaka Tengah district police chief Supt Halim Abas said the incident occurred at a secondary school in Jalan Chan Koon Cheng, Melaka, on Wednesday, 8 July.
Preliminary investigations found that the 18-year-old was lining up with his friends outside a classroom to attend a co-curricular orientation session when he suddenly collapsed.
He was rushed to Hospital Melaka at around 2.40pm, where medical personnel performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for about 68 minutes.
He was pronounced dead at 7.11pm.

The deceased, the eldest of two siblings, had enrolled in the school's Form 6 programme only three weeks earlier.
Halim said a post-mortem conducted yesterday, 9 July, confirmed the cause of death as coronary artery anomalies, a congenital defect affecting the coronary arteries.
He added that police found no elements of foul play, and the case has been classified as a sudden death.
