Abd Aziz was among the first to arrive at the scene

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Datuk Norazam Khamis shared that Abd Aziz was an officer who was dedicated in carrying out his duty and responsibility, especially during fire and rescue operations.

"In fact, he was among the earliest who arrived at the scene in Batang Kali to assist in the SAR operations although the tragedy (area) was not under his jurisdiction," Norazam said yesterday, 29 December.

He served the department for about 15 years

"His loss will be felt and it will be difficult to replace such an outstanding officer," Norazam said, adding, "His remains were buried at the Masjid Jamek Al Ittihad Muslim Cemetery in Kulim."

Abd Aziz leaves behind his wife, Siti Mardhiah Nayan@Ahmad, and four sons.
