Highway Concessionaire CEO Arrested For Alleged Bribery Involving Projects Worth RM1.6B
Two senior officials from the same company were also arrested.

The chief executive officer (CEO) of a renowned highway concessionaire in Klang Valley has been arrested for alleged bribery in connection to two highway projects
According to the New Straits Times, a source said the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) arrested the CEO, along with two senior officials from the same company, on Monday night, 24 June.
The trio were believed to have solicited bribes from construction company owners and awarded contracts related to two highways in Klang Valley to them, one valued at RM1 billion and the other, at over RM650 million.
The anti-graft agency also arrested five individuals from a construction company for allegedly offering bribes for the said contracts
"All suspects were brought to the Putrajaya Magistrates' court [on Monday]. The highway concessionaire's executives will be remanded until Friday, 28 June.
"The five people from the construction company were remanded for three days," said the source.
The case is being investigated under Section 16(a)(A) of the MACC Act for soliciting or receiving gratification.
