Jamal Yunos Has Been Arrested Again
The Red Shirts leader is in trouble.
Red Shirts leader and Sungai Besar UMNO chief Jamal Yunos has been arrested earlier today, 22 May
Free Malaysia Today (FMT) reported that Jamal, who recently appeared after taking a short hiatus from the spotlight, was taken into custody to facilitate investigations into photos that allegedly depict him carrying and displaying a firearm.
He was picked up at a private hospital in Ampang at around 1.15pm by the Selangor Anti-Vice, Gaming, and Secret Societies Division
New Straits Times (NST) revealed that a police report was lodged against him by a Kuala Langat Parti Pribumi Bersatu Member (PPBM) on 12 May.
In the report, the PPBM member claimed to have seen photos of Jamal tucking a firearm over his hip in public, believed to be in a bid to scare members of the public.
The case is being investigated under Section 34 of the Arms Act 1960
Selangor Criminal Investigation Department director Fadzil Ahmat confirmed the arrest to NST and said more details will be given out soon.
Jamal was previously arrested last October for smashing about 100 beer bottles with a sledgehammer outside the Selangor state council building
He was remanded for three days following his beer-smashing antics.
