JPJ Issues Recall For Over 24,000 Toyota & 10,000 Mercedes Cars Made In The Last 8 Years

Over 24,000 Toyota Vios units are affected.

The Malaysian Road Transport Department (JPJ) has issued a recall for 35,000 vehicles across four different brands

In a Facebook post yesterday, 11 September, cars produced by Toyota and Mercedes-Benz, as well as motorcycles produced by Suzuki and Honda, are being recalled by their manufacturers.

"The manufacturers will contact the respective vehicle owners to schedule an appointment and bring the vehicles in for inspection and to complete the recall activity being carried out," it said.

For some Mercedes-Benz models, the recall includes vehicles manufactured up to eight years ago.

Below are some of the vehicle models affected by the recall:

1. Toyota Vios (March 2023-February 2024): 24,345 units
2. Suzuki V-Strom 800DE (2023): 220 units
3. Suzuki Burgman Street EX (2024): 125 units
4. Honda CBR250RR CBR250S3A (2022): 205 units
6. Mercedes-Benz GLA 250 (2017-2024): 1,553 units
7. Mercedes-Benz GLA200 (2017-2024): 1,373 units
8. Mercedes-Benz A 200 (2017-2024): 1,090 units
9. Mercedes-Benz A 250 (2017-2024): 2,397 units
