JPJ Now Allows Driving Licence Renewal Up To 10 Years
The maximum 10-year renewal will also come with a discount off the last year.

The Road Transport Department (JPJ) will now allow the renewal of driving licences for a period of up to 10 years
Currently, the permitted validity is only up to five years.
During a press conference today, 3 May, Transport Minister Anthony Loke said the public could start applying for the 10-year driving licence renewals beginning Monday, 8 May, at any JPJ office and counter across the country.
"The public is now allowed to renew their driving licence yearly, or up to 10 years," he said in Putrajaya.
The maximum 10-year validity renewal will also come at a special fee of RM270, with a discount off the last year
According to BFM News, this would mean the 10-year driving licence renewal would cost the equivalent of a nine-year renewal.
However, drivers can still choose to renew their licence for any amount of years, between one and 10.
Loke said those seeking to apply for the 10-year renewal must be Malaysians, and that their existing licence would expire in a year
"This initiative is not eligible for foreigners as well as long-term pass holders," he was quoted as saying by New Straits Times.
"Those interested in renewing their driving licence for up to 10 years should make sure their remaining licence validity is less than a year," he added.
