Kedah JPJ Fines Driving Instructor For Not Wearing Seatbelt During Lesson

A driving instructor was caught not wearing a seatbelt while conducting a lesson on along an expressway in Jitra, Kedah, on Monday, 16 March

In a Facebook post yesterday, 18 March, the Kedah Road Transport Department (JPJ) said its officers spotted the instructor committing the offence at KM24.8 of the North-South Expressway (Southbound).

At the time, the instructor was seated in the front passenger seat while the vehicle was being driven by his student.

When JPJ officers pulled the vehicle over, they confirmed the offence, and issued the instructor a fine

At the time of writing, the Facebook post has garnered over 1,100 likes and 150 comments.

Many netizens expressed shock at the irony, questioning how a driving instructor could violate such a basic traffic law.
