KKM Orders Temporary Closure Of 2 KL Mall Eateries Over Hygiene Reasons

Two food outlets at MyTOWN Shopping Centre in Kuala Lumpur have been temporarily closed after the Health Ministry (KKM) issued a notice over hygiene concerns

The two eateries affected are Beef Roti by Suteramas and Squid Boy.

Based on notices seen at the shops, both outlets are required to close from 17 June until 1 July. The closure order was reportedly issued by KKM on 17 June.

Photos of the closed shops were shared on X by user @MalaysiaShoppingMall, showing official closure notices displayed at the storefronts.

In a statement to SAYS, MyTOWN said a few tenants are temporarily closed and are working directly with the relevant health authorities to ensure cleaning activities are carried out and hygiene standards are met

The mall added that reopening dates will be communicated by the respective brands through their official channels.

It also said that the health and wellbeing of visitors, tenants, and co-workers remain a top priority, and that MyTOWN will continue working closely with relevant parties to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for the community.
