KL Traffic Police Risk Their Lives To Rescue Family From Being Washed Away By Klang River
The officers climbed down the wall while holding onto a metal fence to save the family that was stuck by the riverbank.

Two traffic police officers in Kuala Lumpur risked their lives to save a family in danger of being swept away by strong currents in the Klang River
Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement (JSPT) chief ACP Sarifudin Mohd Salleh told Bernama that the incident took place at 3.30pm on Sunday, 15 August.
Police received information that a couple and their daughter who were fishing by the river were trapped in an area near Jalan Kuching.
The cops rushed to the location and saved the family at the riverbank while only holding on to the metal fence and stone wall
In a video that went viral on social media, L/CPL Hafizul Khalis Anuar and Const Wan Muhammad Hazleeshah Wan Hasbullah can be seen climbing down the wall and extending their hands to one of the victims, believed to be the husband and father, who was in the river with a motorcycle.
Other clips also show the man trying to navigate the overflowing river on his motorcycle as he desperately attempts to save his bike from being carried away by the currents.
The couple and their daughter were rescued and they sustained no injuries
Sarifudin told Berita Harian that the family was fishing while it was raining heavily and water levels suddenly rose without them realising.
While the family is now safe, it is unclear whether authorities managed to also save the man's motorcycle in the river.
