The government has recently implemented a Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) within the Klang sub-district (mukim)

Yesterday, 8 October, the Selangor Chief Minister's office issued a list of locations that would be affected by the CMCO. Meanwhile, other areas in Klang will not be subjected to the movement order.

However, the South Klang district police has clarified that only residents in Taman Sri Andalas and Bukit Tinggi require a permit to travel in and out of the area

According to a press statement issued by the South Klang district police headquarters, roadblocks and road closures will be located at Bukit Tinggi and Taman Sri Andalas.

In regard to interdistrict travel restrictions, they wrote, "Members of the public who would like to go in and out of Bukit Tinggi (Bayu Perdana, Flat Sri Angkasa, Apartment Vista Bayu, and Bayu Villa) and Taman Sri Andalas are advised to obtain a permission letter from the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) (Mobile police stations have been set up at both locations)."

The police then emphasised that for movement in and out of other areas in Klang, no permission is required

This applies to all other areas in Klang besides Taman Sri Andalas and Bukit Tinggi, regardless of whether the location is within CMCO-enforced areas.

The statement read, "No permission letter or special permit needed to go in and out of other areas in the entire Klang district as of now (subjected to current changes)."

When contacted by SAYS, a representative from the South Klang district police headquarters said, "Even though areas such as Taman Chi Liung and Bandar Klang are under the CMCO within the Klang sub-district, residents are allowed to freely travel as they please. Even non-essential workers within these areas are allowed to leave for work in other areas such as Petaling Jaya or Kuala Lumpur."
