Knife-Wielding Man Robs A Brit PR In Front Of His House At Taman United

The man was robbed of RM2,000 and his bank cards.

Last night, a Briton with permanent residence status was robbed by a knife-wielding man in front of his house at Taman United

According to NST Online, the 8pm incident happened when the 64-year-old alighted from a Grab car in front of his house and had just paid for his ride.

He was headed to the entrance of his home when the thief suddenly ambushed him with a knife and fished the man's wallet from his pocket. The wallet had RM2,000 in it.

The robber managed to escape on foot after he was pushed off his getaway motorcycle during a scuffle with the Briton

The victim lost his bank cards and RM2,000 in cash. However, he was uninjured in the incident.

The Brickfields deputy police chief Superintendent said that a team from the Petaling police station was dispatched to the scene after being alerted to the robbery.

Police are currently investigating the case

They have discovered a Honda Wave motorcycle in the area, believed to have been abandoned by the suspect, NST Online reported Arifai as saying.

Although a check on the motorcycle's license plate number revealed it to be false, the vehicle's original registration number has been determined.

"The incident was also captured by a closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera at the scene and we are examining the footage," he added.
