Laksa Hawker Loses 36-Year-Old Business In One Night After Fire Razes Kuala Krai Market
She suffered losses exceeding RM10,000 in a single night.
A laksa seller lost 10 of her stalls after a fire destroyed the top floor of the Kuala Krai Market in Kelantan on the morning of 14 October
According to Kosmo Online, 54-year-old Aminah Mohd Daud suffered losses exceeding RM10,000 in a single night, with all of her goods consumed by the flames.
Aminah stated that she had been running her business at the market for 36 years.
She was shocked when she received a call from her friend informing her about the fire at 2am that morning
"All my efforts in running my laksa business were completely destroyed by the fire," she said.
A security guard on duty at a nearby building witnessed the smoke and flames spreading at the market around 1.20am
"I immediately called the emergency hotline, and the fire engine arrived a few minutes later," he said.
He added that about 30 stalls located on the upper floor of the market were destroyed in the fire.
