Pakatan Harapan's (PH) decision to form a federal government with Barisan Nasional (BN) has DAP's backing, said Lim Guan Eng

He said the party has left final decision-making powers at the hands of PH's top leadership.

"As part of Pakatan Harapan, we will definitely support it if they and Barisan Nasional form a coalition to form the federal government. We are together in the decision made by Pakatan for a coalition with Barisan. I do not want to comment further," Lim said at a press conference today, 21 November.

According to Lim, who is the DAP chairperson, the decision to back PH in forming a government with its political rival is a joint decision, not just the DAP central executive committee's (CEC).

Lim said that the DAP CEC held a meeting in Kuala Lumpur yesterday, 20 November, but he did not further divulge details

Meanwhile, DAP vice chairman Chow Kon Yeow, who was not present at the DAP CEC meeting, said that everything will be subject to the party's decision, reported New Straits Times.

He, however, acknowledged that there were mixed reactions from voters.

"There are those who are concerned about the coalition government. We listened to these voices. As party members, all need to follow the party's official decision," he said.
