Limo Drivers Aggressively Harassed An Uber Driver And His Passengers At The Penang Airport

An Uber driver and his two passengers found themselves in a scary situation when they were stopped and surrounded by several airport limousine drivers at the Penang International Airport on Sunday

One of the passengers said that two men with walkie-talkies had demanded that she and her husband step out of the car when the couple boarded their Uber outside the airport's arrival hall

"Our driver took out his camera to take pictures but they turned their backs and walked away," Debbie Wong, one of the passengers, told The Star.

They drove off... only to find their path blocked by a limo and several airport taxi drivers, who demanded that they alight from the vehicle. When they refused to do so, the horde started shouting obscenities and banging on the car windows.

Wong phoned the airport police, and even got into an argument with the limo drivers harassing them about going to the police station. The commotion ended when the police showed up.

The Uber driver went to the police station in the airport, but it is uncertain if a police report was lodged.
