A lorry driver, who had stopped on the shoulder of the Kuala Lumpur–Karak Expressway to help an accident victim, was killed when a car lost control and hit him

The 48-year-old victim from Sri Tanjung, Kuantan, was travelling to Kuala Lumpur at 5pm on Saturday, 15 February, when he noticed a car had skidded off the expressway after a failed overtaking attempt.

Two other lorry drivers also stopped to help.

Together, they managed to pull the stranded driver out of the wreckage and were waiting by the roadside for emergency responders when tragedy struck, according to China Press.

A car approaching from behind lost control at the same spot and crashed into the group, hitting the victim and another lorry driver, while the third managed to leap out of the way just in time.
