A speeding Porsche Cayenne Turbo collided with a Perodua Axia on the Damansara–Puchong Expressway (LDP) last Saturday, 10 October, causing the Axia to overturn and spin twice as the Porsche driver reportedly reached for a water bottle

Speaking to China Press, the victim, a 40-year-old saleswoman who wishes to be known as May, said the incident occurred while she was on her way to work in Kepong. She suddenly noticed the luxury SUV speeding towards her in her rearview mirror.

"The SUV was moving incredibly fast. I completely had no time to react before it crashed into me, causing my car to lose control, hit the divider, and flip over," she said.

Photos of the incident show that May's Axia sustained severe damage to both its front and rear.

May said she felt dizzy and smelled a burning odour after her car overturned

She recalled trying to force herself to stay awake and was fortunately able to open the door to escape on her own.

May sustained minor injuries in the accident, including a sprained neck. Her chest also remains painful from the impact, to the point that even coughing hurts.

"Luckily, a kind-hearted man and woman stopped to help. They contacted my husband to come handle the situation and helped calm me down," she told the Chinese daily.

May said the Porsche driver got out of his vehicle after the collision to apologise and ask about her injuries, including whether she needed an ambulance.

However, he left the scene shortly afterwards with a tow truck.

The Porsche driver reached out and apologised to her again yesterday, 13 October, allegedly admitting that he caused the accident by reaching for a water bottle.

May added that he had expressed a desire to meet her and her husband in person to apologise and seek their forgiveness.
