Staying true to the essence of Ramadan, property developer Mah Sing Group released a heartwarming Raya video on migrant workers, calling them "our unsung heroes"

The 3-minute video beautifully depicts the trials and tribulations migrant workers go through to make ends meet - from parting with their loved ones to working in harsh conditions, especially in the holy month of Ramadan when most long to be with their families.

"There are more than two million migrant workers in in Malaysia. Many of whom are Muslims and they work throughout Ramadhan.

"They are far away from their homes, so that they can help build ours. We want to share their stories here, that are often untold."

Mah Sing interviewed their employees, asking them about their experiences with working away from home and going through the Ramadan month without their loved ones

The realities of the lives of foreign workers are harsh. Millions of them are forced to leave their young children and work really hard just so that they could put food on the table.

Mohamed Johorloh, a foreign worker with the Mah Sing Group from Bangladesh spoke about how his financial situation kept him away from his family, even when some of them passed away.
