Malaysia Airports Apologises For "Mary Christmas" And "Happy New Years"

A bunting with the spelling mistakes had gone viral.

Earlier today, Malaysia Airports issued an apology after a photo of a Christmas bunting wishing "Mary Christmas" set up at the Sultan Ismail Petra Airport in Kota Bharu went viral

"We extend our apologies and wish you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year," Malaysia Airports said in its statement that was posted on its official Facebook page.

The bunting was removed last night

Malaysia Airports also assured that the erroneous Christmas bunting was just at the Kota Bharu airport and does not involve any other airports in the country.

It also thanked netizens for their "concern in highlighting the matter to us."

Previously, photos of the erroneous bunting went viral where netizens mocked Malaysia Airports for bad grammar
