MAMEE-Double Decker And Sunway Named Among The Best Managed Companies In Malaysia
Both of them were winners of the first ever Malaysia's Best Managed Companies awards programme.
Deloitte Private recently introduced the inaugural Malaysia's Best Managed Companies awards programme, naming four local companies as winners
The Malaysia Best Managed Companies awards programme recognises top privately-owned local companies with annual revenues exceeding USD25 million (RM104 million) for their organisational excellence, as well as contributions in their respective industries and the economy.
The programme is part of Deloitte's global Best Managed Companies awards, one of the most significant business awards of its kind.
First established in 1993, it serves as a way for companies to benchmark themselves against the best private companies in the world.
MAMEE-Double Decker and Sunway Berhad were named among the winners of this prestigious award, joining 1,000 companies who have achieved this mark of business excellence globally
"The Best Managed Companies awards provide an opportunity to celebrate these outstanding local household brands, who demonstrated the importance of strong leadership, innovation, and agility," said Yee Wing Peng, chief executive officer of Deloitte Malaysia.
Companies that were eligible for this award had to undergo a rigorous and independent evaluation process
These companies were assessed based on the quality of management in areas like strategy, capabilities and innovation, culture and commitment, as well as governance and financials.
According to Pierre Pang, group executive director of MAMEE-Double Decker, the key to the company's success is their 4Is – Integrity, Intensity, Involvement, and Innovation.
"We are truly honoured to be recognised as one of Malaysia's Best Managed Companies. This win is only possible with the continued support of our greatest asset - the Monstar team," he said.
For Sunway Group, group chief executive officer of digital and strategic investments Evan Cheah attributed the win to the group's commitment and sustainability-driven strategies.
"The award is a testament to its resilience as well as ability to respond, reinvent, and recover from the unprecedented challenges," Cheah added.
Besides these two companies, MR.DIY Group and BIG Pharmacy Healthcare were also selected as recipients of this award
