A video allegedly showing a man urinating on an escalator at Titiwangsa MRT station has sparked outrage on social media
The 16-second clip shows a man standing on the escalator before the camera zooms in, appearing to show a stream of liquid running from beneath his trousers, down his leg, and onto the escalator.
Originally posted on Threads, the video has garnered more than 3.4 million views, with many users expressing disbelief and describing the alleged act as disgusting and irresponsible.
"Bro, what is wrong with people?" one netizen wrote on Reddit.
"This guy needs to be arrested for public nuisance," another commented.
"So, is this why it always smells like urine when I pass by the Muzium Negara MRT station? This is how it happens!" wrote one angry Threads user.
CCTV footage of the incident has also surfaced on Threads, appearing to show the same incident from another angle.

Rapid KL has since acknowledged the incident and condemned the behaviour
In a statement on Facebook, alongside a screenshot from the viral video, the public transport operator reminded commuters that "the cleanliness of Rapid KL stations and trains is everyone's responsibility."
It also urged the public not to imitate such behaviour.
Rapid KL added that anyone who witnesses inappropriate or suspicious activities, including urinating in prohibited areas, eating or drinking on trains, or other forms of misconduct, should immediately report them to station staff, the Auxiliary Police, or contact its helpline.
"Your cooperation is greatly appreciated in helping ensure these facilities remain clean, safe, and comfortable for all passengers," it said.
