Man Dies After Falling Off Ferris Wheel At Funfair In Cheras Selatan

A man recently fell to his death at a funfair in Cheras Selatan

According to Utusan Malaysia, the incident took place around midnight on Thursday, 11 November.

The 38-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene after falling off the Ferris wheel at the fair near AEON Mall Cheras Selatan.

Another man also fell off the ride, but he survived the impact and sustained injuries

Kajang district police told Free Malaysia Today that they were notified of the incident by a funfair worker.

They added, "(One victim) was confirmed dead at the scene by ambulance workers from Kajang Hospital. Another was taken to hospital for treatment."

"Police are still investigating to ascertain the cause of the incident and whether there was negligence on the part of the funfair owner or the victims. So far, the investigation has found no criminal element in the case."

The deceased man's body has been sent to Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Hospital for an autopsy

As of now, the case has been classified as sudden death.
