A 62-year-old man in Singapore was found dead in his home after his son noticed an unusual silence, having stopped receiving his father's daily 'good morning stickers' for three days

According to Lianhe Zaobao, the father had sent the stickers daily as a simple way to let his son know he was safe.

When the son didn't receive any messages starting from Thursday, 21 November, he grew concerned. However, before he could check on his father, the police informed him of his passing.

The man's body was discovered in his Tampines Housing & Development Board (HDB) flat at around 2pm on Sunday, 24 November

A friend, who had planned to meet the man for breakfast that morning, found him unresponsive and immediately alerted the police.

Paramedics from the Singapore Civil Defence Force arrived shortly after and pronounced the man dead at the scene.

It was reported that the man had previously suffered a stroke, but remained independent and lived alone

Nonetheless, he kept his front door unlocked so that neighbours could check in on him.

The man's two sons, who regularly visited on weekends, were planning to see him later that Sunday before receiving the tragic news.
