In an incident scary enough to send chills down your spine, a man riding his motorcycle was greeted by a snake who suddenly appeared out of the handlebar

According to his friend, Azim Sharim on Instagram, the victim, Tengku Ahmad Zasharin was riding his motorbike when he felt something was crawling up his right hand. Initially, Tengku thought it was just leaves on top of his hand.

He got the shock of his life when he realised it was actually a python coiling up his right hand

Apparently, the python was in the meter box before it slithered through the motorcycle handlebar.

Focused on getting rid of the snake, Tengku lost control of his motorbike and crashed into a road divider.

The victim is currently being treated at Hospital UIA Kuantan as he suffered shoulder injuries and a fractured pelvis.

Snakes are known to migrate to seek shelter which is suitable for its body temperature as they are cold-blooded animals

"They (snakes) tend to come out from their natural habitat to find warmer places and this is when many of them are seen slithering into houses," said Civil Defence's disaster management, operations and logistics officer, Lieutenant Norasmawi Abdul Mutalib in 2015.
