Man In Johor Allegedly Slashes Housemate's Head For Talking Too Loud While On The Phone

A man in Johor allegedly slashed his 37-year-old housemate because he was talking too loudly on the phone
Iskandar Puteri district police chief ACP Dzulkhairi Mukhtar told The Star that the authorities received a distress call at about 1.15pm on Sunday, 27 June, and rushed to the location.
Upon arrival, a man was found covered in blood.
It is believed that a fight took place when the 23-year-old suspect asked the victim to lower his voice while on the phone.
The victim refused to do so and responded with harsh words.
Dzulkhairi explained to Free Malaysia Today, "When the victim went out of his room, the upset suspect approached the victim and pulled out a machete from his pants before striking the victim three times in the head."
The victim was later sent to Sultanah Aminah Hospital in Johor Bahru to receive medical treatment.
Police managed to track down the suspect with the help of members of the public and arrested him
"Investigations revealed that the suspect was working at a factory and had no criminal record. Urine tests conducted were negative for drugs," Dzulkhairi said to The Star.
Meanwhile, the victim is reported to have 15 prior criminal offences, all involving drugs.
The police confiscated a 37cm-long machete from the perpetrator and the case is being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt.
