Man Killed In Hit-And-Run After Changing Punctured Tyre On Cheras–Kajang Highway

A man was killed in a hit-and-run accident after changing a punctured tyre along KM13 of the Cheras–Kajang Expressway last night, 6 July
According to the New Straits Times, police are now appealing for witnesses to help identify the driver who fled the scene.
Kajang district police chief ACP Naazron Abdul Yusof said the incident happened at about 10pm.

Initial investigations found that the 46-year-old victim had stopped his silver Toyota Innova by the roadside after one of its tyres suffered a puncture
Five passengers were travelling with him at the time.
After replacing the tyre, the man walked to the back of the vehicle to retrieve a bucket he had placed on the road to warn approaching motorists.
He was then struck by a red Toyota Innova, whose driver fled the scene without stopping.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for causing death by reckless or dangerous driving
