Man Throws Food & Hot Water At A Child After Restaurant Worker Refused To Call Him "Baby"
He threw the packet of food and hot water in his hands after the worker called him "uncle" instead.
On Sunday, June 4, a Malaysian man threw a temper tantrum inside a restaurant in Putra Heights after a worker there called him an uncle
Subang Jaya district police chief ACP Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said that prior to the 9am incident, the man had asked the worker to call him "abang" or "baby".
According to Harian Metro, when the woman refused to call him by those terms of endearment and instead referred to him as "uncle", the man became angry and threw a packet of food and hot water, which landed on a four-year-old child.
Aside from throwing the food items, he also cursed and shouted at the employee
"After the victim handed over his orders, the suspect continued to act aggressively by shouting abusive words and threatened to damage their property," said Wan Azlan.
"The restaurant owner made a report on Tuesday, 6 June, after discovering that a closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage of the incident had gone viral on social media," he added.
He went on to say that the suspect had also thrown a few chairs and kicked a table several times, instilling fear in the restaurant's other customers.
Wan Azlan also stated that police have launched an investigation into the case and are currently looking for the suspect.
The viral CCTV footage of the incident left most netizens perplexed by the man's request
One user commented that it was good that the worker called him "uncle" instead of "Iblis (the devil)".
"Wah, so scary to be forced to call someone 'baby', he didn't even have a baby face," wrote another.
"Getting into the news just because a stranger didn't call you 'abang' is wild, dude. The pettiness in this old man," commented another.
