A driver in Melaka was caught in a viral video violently punching and kicking another motorist at a traffic light intersection
The one-minute footage shows the furious man repeatedly punching the passenger window before opening the victim's rear door and allegedly assaulting the driver.
The situation was only defused when a woman holding a baby, believed to be his wife, rushed in to pull him away.
Police have stepped in following widespread outrage online
According to Berita Harian, Melaka Tengah district police chief Supt Halim Abas stated that the 6.20pm incident stemmed from a road misunderstanding.
Halim confirmed that both individuals were called in to give their statements.
Rather than escalating the feud, both drivers opted to settle the dispute peacefully
The two men expressed regret over the altercation and pledged to better control their emotions on the road in the future.
