An Indonesian man who went missing without a trace for nearly three years has shocked his family after being found alive on a remote mountain slope
Ayi Solehudin, 45, was discovered by local villagers on 25 May while they were inspecting a water channel in the Gunung Halimun Salak forest area.
According to Harian Metro, he was found sitting on a mossy rock near a river at an altitude of about 1km, looking emaciated, weak, and disorientated.

Sukabumi Bersatu Ambulance (ASB) volunteer, Muh Irfan Maulana, reported that Ayi was unable to walk on his own and was startled by the crowd
"When he was found, he was very weak and it was difficult to communicate," Irfan said when recounting the rescue.
"We had to carry him down using a stretcher made of wood and a sarong," he added, noting the difficult terrain.

Viral videos of the rescue eventually reached Ayi's family, who immediately rushed to the scene to identify and reunite with their long-lost relative
The family confirmed that he had vanished nearly three years ago, leaving no clues of his whereabouts.
They had previously exhausted all avenues and conducted countless search missions, all of which had failed.
