MOH Records Highest Number Of COVID-19 Recoveries In A Day With 281 Patients Discharged

Previously, the highest number of recoveries in a day was 236.

Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah just announced that 281 patients have fully recovered from COVID-19 within the past day

He also added that a total of 6,975 patients have been discharged from hospitals since the disease was first identified in Malaysia.

This has been the largest number of recoveries in a day since Monday, 6 April, which recorded 236 recoveries.

The Ministry of Health's (MOH) official Twitter account noted that the current recovery rate in Malaysia is 83.7%

Meanwhile, MOH recorded seven new COVID-19 cases within the past day

Dr Noor Hisham said that this brings the number of cases in Malaysia to a total of 8,336. Out of the seven new cases, six are imported and one was locally transmitted.

The Health director-general also added that there are currently 1,244 active cases in Malaysia.

There were no coronavirus-related deaths reported within the last 24 hours. Therefore, Malaysia's COVID-19 death toll remains at 117.

There are currently six patients receiving treatment in Intensive Care Units, with one of them requiring breathing assistance.
