Mother & Stepfather Arrested After 7-Year-Old Allegedly Drowns In A Water Tub In Melaka
The victim had bruises and injuries on several parts of his body.

Police in Melaka has arrested a couple after their seven-year-old boy died in Taman Krubong Jaya. He was believed to have been abused.
According to Melaka Contingent Police Headquarters (IPD) CID chief ACP Mohd Sukri Kaman, the child was allegedly drowned in a water tub in his house during the incident at 4pm on Friday, 29 January.
Moh Sukri revealed that preliminary investigations found physical injuries on the victim's body. Following which, both the mother and the stepfather, aged 32 and 38, have been detained.
The incident came to light after the stepfather called the authorities to say that his son had drowned at his house
“At about 4pm, Melaka Tengah District IPD Operations Room received a call from a man informing that his son had drowned at his house in Taman Krubong Jaya," Mohd Sukri told Bernama today, 30 January.
Checks at the scene found the seven-year-old male victim had bruises and injuries on several parts of his body.
The case is being investigated for murder
Melaka police are investigating the case under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
