Malaysian lawyer and influencer Kiang Jau Sang has denied being a client of a crossdresser in China who offered sexual services
In a statement on Facebook yesterday, 13 July, Kiang shared photos of himself and a man who resembles him in the crossdresser's room, stating that although they look alike, they are two different people.
"It's been three days now. People have been messaging me non-stop on WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram asking if that's me. I think it's getting a bit over the top.
"Let me clarify: I'm not that desperate. I would never go looking for these kinds of 'women' just to satisfy myself.
"I've had many girlfriends, and the women I date are all of a certain standard. If they don't meet that standard, I wouldn't even have a meal with them, let alone go to a room," said the influencer, who often creates satirical content.
The crossdresser, known online as the 'Nanjing Uncle Red', has become a hot topic in China after his recent arrest for allegedly distributing obscene material
Identified by his surname Jiao, he gained notoriety online after claiming to have had sexual encounters with over 1,000 men while disguised as a woman.
He reportedly installed a hidden camera in his flat to secretly record his interactions with male visitors. He then shared the footage in an online group, charging a membership fee of 150 yuan (about RM89) per person.
Jiao, said to be in his 30s, used heavy make-up, long wigs, and women's clothing to attract his victims.
Some of Jiao's victims reportedly recognised themselves in the leaked videos and reported him to the police.
Despite warnings from authorities not to share the videos, close-up images of the men's faces continued to circulate online.
At the time of writing, Kiang's Facebook post has garnered over 8,000 likes and 710 shares
Netizens responded with humour, teasing that he might be secretly exploring his sexuality.
"You want to try something new, right?" a Facebook user quipped, while another added, "If you have to keep explaining, you've already lost."
As a satirical content creator, Kiang has also found himself at the centre of several controversies.
In September 2022, he was reportedly assaulted after allegedly offering a married woman RM500 to meet him.
He often refers to himself as the 'Malaysian Wang Leehom', a nickname some netizens view as narcissistic. However, a check on the Malaysian Bar legal directory confirms that Kiang is a licensed lawyer with an active practising certificate.
