Najib’s Daughter Appointed As CTOS Independent Director

Datuk Seri Najib Razak's eldest daughter, Putri Norlisa Najib, has been appointed as CTOS Digital Bhd's independent non-executive director

In a Bursa filing yesterday, 21 September, CTOS said the appointment will take effect on Friday, 25 September.

The 45-year-old lawyer is the daughter of Najib and his former wife, Tengku Puteri Zainah Tengku Eskandar.

According to CTOS, Putri Norlisa holds a Master's degree in law from the University of Nottingham and is a member of the Malaysian Bar.

With more than 20 years of legal experience, she began her career in 2005 at Eversheds in London, UK, where she trained and practised as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales, specialising in banking.

"Upon her return to Malaysia, she was called to the bar in 2009 and practised in Kadir, Andri, and Partners, where she was made partner before she co-founded Putri Norlisa Chair in 2015.

"In 2018, Putri Norlisa Chair merged with Adnan Sundra & Low and she continued as partner before becoming the Joint Managing Partner of Adnan Sundra & Low in 2023," read the filing.

As a practising lawyer, Putri Norlisa regularly advises in local and cross border banking and finance transactions, including project finance, debt restructuring, and private debt securities

She is also actively involved in corporate and commercial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, capital market transactions, and the establishment of long-term incentive plans.

The New Straits Times reported that she will serve on CTOS' Risk and Compliance Committee, Nomination and Remuneration Committee, and Employee Share Option Scheme Committee.

The filing stated that Putri Norlisa has no family relationship with any CTOS director or major shareholder and has no conflict of interest.
