The Negeri Sembilan Education Department is investigating a viral video showing a student allegedly under the influence of drugs at a secondary school in Nilai

According to the New Straits Times, department director Khalidah Omar said further investigations were underway before the department could provide additional comments.

The video, which was shared on Threads, claimed that the student was an SPM candidate who had allegedly taken a substance known as "piu piu". It also identified a secondary school in Nilai.

The term reportedly refers to a new synthetic drug found in vape liquids, which is said to contain fentanyl and other psychoactive chemicals.

The substance has been associated with severe intoxication and hallucinogenic effects, with users reportedly displaying "zombie-like behaviour".
