A woman has opened the 'World's First Junior Pool Cinema' in Melaka for her daughter and recently made it accessible to the public

The woman, known as Blue Mama on TikTok, announced the launch of the unique cinema on her account on 2 October, promoting it as a place for young children to watch their favourite films while taking a dip.

The cinema, named Blue Pool Junior, is located in Ayer Keroh, Melaka, and costs only RM8 to enter.

This fresh concept has created a buzz on TikTok, but not everyone is comfortable with the idea of letting their children use these communal pools

Their primary concern centres on the pool's hygiene, with many questioning whether the water's quality is properly maintained.

In response, the founder emphasised that she follows strict sanitation protocols, including post-movie water refills and supervision by a Certified Pool Operator, ensuring cleanliness after each screening.

In a separate TikTok video, she mentioned that she created the pool cinema as a space for her "game-addicted" daughter to play and reduce screen time.

The mother also said she leased an abandoned factory and single-handedly created the cinema.

Besides cleanliness, netizens have also questioned whether adults are allowed to use the pools

Meanwhile, others jokingly remarked that their children might come out looking like prunes after a long movie.
