New CMCO Rule: 3 Persons Now Allowed To Travel In The Same Car

The rule will be effective immediately.

Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has announced that three persons can now travel in the same car in areas under the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO)

Ismail made the announcement during the daily security press conference today, 13 November.

"We agreed to allow three people in one car. This is the same rule for taxis and e-hailing vehicles," said Ismail, who is also a Senior Minister.

He added that the decision was made after members of the public requested to relax the previous 'two per vehicle' rule

Ismail said the rule will be effective immediately and that police will have the discretion to allow exemptions.
