The nurse heard continuous beeping sounds while she was driving her Proton Saga at about 10pm last night, which made her alert

Later when her uncle checked the car, he reportedly found an unidentified object that was attached to the Proton Saga's rear bumper, according to NST.

Following which, police were informed of the situation and a team from the Selangor police’s Bomb Disposal Unit (BDU) was dispatched to the nurse's house.

The BDU team was able to diffuse the bomb at about 2.30am today

It was an improvised explosive device (IED) about the size of a small mineral water bottle, Selangor police CID chief Senior Assistant Commissioner Fadzil Ahmat said.

The Selangor police have classified the case under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation and the Explosives Act 1957

They have also launched an investigation into who planted the bomb in the nurse's car and the motive behind doing so, NST reported.
