Pelita Nasi Kandar Employee In Shah Alam Tests Positive For COVID-19
The outlet located in Plaza Masalam in Section 9, Shah Alam has been ordered to close.
Following a mild fever, an employee at a Nasi Kandar Pelita outlet in Shah Alam tested positive for COVID-19
On Thursday, 30 December, Pelita Nasi Kandar issued a statement on their official Facebook page.
It read, "The management of Pelita Samudra Pertama (M) Sdn Bhd would like to inform that one of our employees at the Nasi Kandar Pelita Shah Alam branch has undergone a swab test due to mild fever and was found to be positive COVID-19 on 29 December 2020."

The management added that they will be conducting close contact tracing and sanitisation works at the restaurant.
They also stressed that this is the only outlet affected and other Pelita Nasi Kandar outlets will be operating as usual.
"We have done our best in abiding with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and complying with all the guidelines set by the Ministry of Health (MOH). The safety of our customers and staff is our top priority," they wrote.
The Pelita management also promises to give MOH their full cooperation in order to curb the spread of the virus.
