Penang Woman Hit By A Car After Stopping To Help Motorcyclist Who Was In An Accident

Both the motorcyclist and the woman were pronounced dead at the scene.

A woman in Penang recently died in a crash while she was helping an accident victim

According to Bernama, the incident took place on Saturday, 30 October, near Solaria Residences on Jalan Tun Dr Awang, Bayan Lepas.

The woman has been identified as 45-year-old Suhaila Zainol Abidin while the motorcyclist was 33-year-old Faizal Abu Bakar.

Faizal was riding his motorcycle when he skidded and fell around 11.20pm

Suhaila and a friend were walking in the area when they went to Faizal's aid.

Then, a Proton Wira travelling in the same direction crashed into them.

Both Faizal and Suhaila were pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.

On the other hand, Suhaila's friend and the driver of the Proton Wira were severely injured

A spokesman of the Penang Fire and Rescue Department told Bernama that they were then sent to Penang Hospital.

Southwest district police chief Supt Kamarul Rizal Jenal confirmed the accident and said that investigations were being conducted under Section 41 of the Road Transport Act 1987.
