Originally uploaded by UniKL Official on YouTube, the video features Dr Adham Baba, Malaysian singer Sufian Suhaimi, as well as a rapper named Mattou, singing to Luis Fonsi's famous tune.

However, instead of the song's original Spanish lyrics, their version revolved around Hari Raya festivities and they sang about balik kampung, giving out duit raya, and visiting family members and loved ones.

Last month, many people speculated that Dr Adham Baba recorded the song amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Ministry of Communications and Multimedia (KKMM) issued a statement to put an end to the rumours.

On Friday, 3 April, KKMM released an official announcement of fake news.

Citing the Ministry of Health (MOH), it read, "MOH denies allegations claiming that Health Minister Dr Adham Baba made a recording of a Hari Raya song while the country is facing the COVID-19 pandemic."

However, at the time, he was appointed as UniKL chairman which explains his involvement in the music video.

On 21 May, Dr Adham Baba told Malaysiakini, "That is an old song, it was 2017. I sang Despacito with Sufian Suhaimi for my constituency, Tenggara."

"People just gladly brought it up, I did not even make a new song," he added.
