Malaysians turning 18 this year can check if they have been selected for the National Service Training Programme (PLKN 3.0) Series 4/2026, which will run from 3 October to 16 November
National Service Training Department director-general Major General Datuk Marzuki Mokhtar said prospective trainees, particularly those born in 2008, can check their selection status through the ePLKN 3.0 System from 11am today, 10 August.
Candidates will also receive an SMS reminding them to check their status online.
"The SMS functions as a call to action by instructing candidates to check further via the ePLKN website to obtain complete information regarding reporting instructions, selection status, and the actions that need to be taken," he said in a statement yesterday, 9 August, reported Bernama.
Marzuki said the approach was introduced to address previous issues where some candidates were unaware that they had been selected or overlooked information about reporting dates and requirements.
As a result, some selected candidates failed to report for training as scheduled.

Prospective candidates can check their selection status on the ePLKN 3.0 System.
Meanwhile, Marzuki announced that the department plans to operate eight PLKN training camps for the October intake to increase training capacity
There are currently three camps in operation:
– Camp 504 in Bukit Keteri, Perlis
– Camp 505 in Pekan, Pahang
– Camp 515 in Kuala Lumpur
These five more training centres are expected to be opened:
– Camp 503 in Hutan Melintang, Perak
– Camp 506 in Sungai Durian, Kelantan
– Camp 513 in Bukit Pinang, Kedah
– Institut Latihan Awam in Sungai Petani, Kedah
– Institut Latihan Awam in Tuaran, Sabah
Marzuki said the use of Institut Latihan Awam (Public Training Institute) facilities reflects the government's strategic approach of strengthening inter-agency cooperation in implementing PLKN 3.0, which is considered a major national agenda
He added that the move would also allow more youths to participate in PLKN 3.0 this year.
He said the department aims to develop 13 camps nationwide for PLKN 3.0, but some are still being upgraded. In the meantime, these alternative training centres will be used to boost capacity and meet this year's trainee intake target.
