PLUS Releases Travel Time Advisory For Outstation #GE15 Voters
Approximately 1.9 million vehicles are expected to be on PLUS highways from 17 to 19 November.
PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) has issued a travel time advisory (TTA) for voters who will be going back to their hometown to cast their ballots on 19 November
According to Free Malaysia Today, chief operating officer (COO) Zakaria Ahmad Zabidi suggested entering the highway before 10am if you plan to travel from Klang Valley to Perlis, Kedah, Penang, northern Perak, or Johor between 16 November and 21 November.
"Motorists heading towards other states should enter the highway between 1pm and 4pm," he said in a statement.
In addition to stepping up its highway operations, Zakaria added that PLUS will temporarily halt all maintenance, renovation, and construction works on the highways it operates.
"A total of 200 PLUSRonda units will patrol the highways daily, meanwhile, 1,500 personnel will be stationed at toll plazas."
Zakaria reported that approximately 1.9 million vehicles are expected to be on the highways from 17 to 19 November
He also advised motorists to plan their journey in view of the expected increase in traffic and travel time during this period.
