Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin just announced that the Movement Control Order (MCO) will be extended for four more weeks

The restriction will be implemented until 9 June 2020.

The extension will see all SOPs and policies being extended, too.

The Prime Minister added that any changes about SOPs or list of sectors allowed to operate during this extended period will be announced from time to time.

Among the restrictions, interstate travel is still not allowed

While apologising to people, Muhyiddin said that they cannot balik kampung during festivals.

He, however, said that people can celebrate Raya as long as the group involves 20 people or less.

Married couples are allowed interstate travel to see their families. They can apply for a permit at police stations.

The Prime Minister has also extended the application for Bantuan Prihatin Nasional (BPN) aid for those whose applications have been declined.

Although, he said that he could not promise that all applications will be accepted.

This is a developing story. More to come.
