The autopsy results for Zayn Rayyan, the six-year-old autistic boy found dead in Damansara Damai, have revealed shocking details

Bukit Aman CID director Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain said the post-mortem examination report indicated that Zayn was killed 48 hours before his body was discovered in a river close to his home.

According to Mohd Shuhaily, the six-year-old was killed by strangulation elsewhere before his body was dumped along the banks of the river in Damansara Damai.

This specific area had already been covered in the search for the victim, and the body was only discovered on the second night of the search, reported the New Straits Times.

"Based on that, we can surmise that the boy wasn't killed at the site. He was killed elsewhere and his body [was] placed at the scene," he said, adding that the post-mortem report also indicated the same.

The autopsy also revealed defensive wounds on the body

"There were indications of neck pressure, suggesting the possibility of strangulation. The autopsy also revealed defensive wounds, meaning the victim likely fought back," Mohd Shuhaily was quoted as saying.

"I will refrain from further details out of respect for the dignity of the deceased and his family," he replied when asked if there were any other injuries apart from the ligature marks on the victim's neck.

Mohd Shuhaily appealed to the public, urging anyone with information β€” no matter how small β€” to come forward and help the police uncover the details of this heinous crime.

The case, initially classified as sudden death, is now being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder:
