The popular stall, however, has been asked to be closed for two weeks after it was found to have sanitation violations, reported New Straits Times.
The closure order, issued in accordance with Section 11 of the Food Act 1983, went into effect yesterday, 2 January, and will remain in place until 16 January, according to a notice from the Northeast District Health Office's Food Safety and Quality Department.
After inspections were done at the restaurant's premises, the owner was fined RM500 because he had failed to provide adequate training in safe food handling to his employees.
