Police Set Up 24-HR Roadblocks At Strategic Locations Across Malaysia
According to PDRM, the increase of roadblocks are part of the law's efforts to prevent crime.
Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has set up 24-hour roadblocks at strategic locations nationwide to prevent crime and ensure public safety
This comes after the political impasse in Malaysia continues days post the 15th General Election (GE15) and amidst a surge in TikTok content exploiting the 13 May incident of 1969 to incite hatred among people.
According to Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Acryl Sani Abdullah, the roadblocks from yesterday, 22 November, are part of the country's police force's omnipresent strategy to curb crime.
He said that the roadblocks will not be mounted during daytime or peak hours to ease traffic flow while urging people to cooperate and follow instructions given by officers manning the roadblocks.
