Prisoner Escapes From Sungai Buloh Hospital & Police Urges Public To Assist
The escapee has been identified as 27-year-old Kalai Kumar Anandan.
A prisoner from Sungai Buloh Prison has escaped from Sungai Buloh Hospital, while receiving treatment
The escapee, identified as 27-year-old Kalai Kumar Anandan, has a record of eight prior offences, including criminal and narcotics-related activities. He has a tattoo of a crown on his chest.
According to Bernama, the escape occurred on Wednesday, 18 September, at around 3.56pm when hospital staff discovered that the inmate was no longer in his bed and immediately alerted the police.
The search has been expanded to nearby areas, and authorities have urged those living in the Sungai Buloh and Paya Jaras area to remain vigilant for their safety.

He urged anyone with information on Kalai Kumar's whereabouts to immediately contact the Sungai Buloh Police Headquarters at 03-6156 1222 or Sungai Buloh Prison at 03-6184 3333.
The Malaysian Prisons Department has launched an investigation into the escape and formed a special search team in collaboration with the Royal Malaysia Police
The investigation board will closely examine the circumstances surrounding the prisoner's disappearance.
According to the department, stern action will be taken against any staff found guilty of negligence or failure to follow procedure during the incident.
