Malaysians are advised to plan their journeys according to these recommended travel times to avoid traffic during the Deepavali holiday

AFA Prime Berhad, the operator of the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Expressway (KLK) and East Coast Expressway Phase 1 (LPT1), has issued recommended travel times for motorists on 7 and 9 November in conjunction with Deepavali.

According to Media Selangor, AFA Prime has advised motorists travelling out of Kuala Lumpur via the Gombak Toll Plaza on Saturday, 7 November, to refer to the following recommended times:
– Kelantan: 6am to 9am or 5pm to 8pm
– Terengganu: 9am to 12pm or 8pm to 11pm
– Pahang: 12pm to 4pm or 8pm to 11pm

For the return journey to Kuala Lumpur on Monday, 9 November, the recommended travel times are:

– From Pahang: 7am to 10am or 7pm to 11pm
– From Terengganu: 10am to 1pm or 8pm to 10pm
– From Kelantan: 4pm to 8pm or 9pm to midnight

To maximise efficiency, AFA Prime also encouraged motorists to travel between midnight and 6am on both dates to avoid peak-hour traffic.

Motorists should also take note that express buses heading to the East Coast typically depart between 9.30am and 12pm, and 9.30pm and midnight, which may contribute to heavier traffic at the Gombak Toll Plaza.
