A woman in Singapore claimed that a man took upskirt videos of her when she was walking home on Wednesday, 17 October

According to the Facebook post, Chen Wei Li said she was walking home in the afternoon while reading something.

She then heard the sound of a plastic bag and felt something touch her inner thigh. When she turned around, she saw a man bending down with his phone facing upward and noticed he was recording a video of her.

The man walked away quickly when he was confronted and kept fondling with his phone

Chen chased after him and demanded to see his phone. After successfully grabbing it, the man twisted her wrist and snatched it back.

The scuffle lasted about a minute and the man was fiddling with his phone the entire time, leading Chen to believe that he had ample time to delete the videos in his phone.

"You were struggling with me. How can I delete them?" he said when asked about the videos

When Chen got hold of his phone for the second time after he willingly passed it to her, she found nothing incriminating in his photo gallery.

"I saw those videos with my own eyes," she said in the Facebook post.

The man challenged her to file a police report and even gave her his particulars. She added that the address on his identification card was not in the area, suspecting that he may have been following her.

A police report was filed and it turns out that the man was Glenn Goh Wei Liang, a convicted offender who was jailed last year for taking upskirt pictures of nearly 50 women over a period of about 10 months, as reported by Straits Times.

Police investigations are still ongoing at the time of writing.

Chen said that the post was written with the intention to warn other women

I only want to show women that they should stand up for themselves. I was scared, and I realise how scared younger girls would've been if they were in a similar situation
Chen told Straits Times
